Requirements
HOURS
CPA teachers are required to be at CPA from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.
WORK DAYS AND DAYS OFF
CPA starts after Little Elm Independent School District and ends before the last day of school for LEISD. Check with CPA leadership for exact dates.
We follow the LEISD calendar and is closed whenever LEISD is not in session.
We have teacher workdays before the start of school in the summer and after school ends as requested or needed.
EDUCATIONAL CREDITS
Being a state-licensed preschool, all teachers must complete Continuing Education Credits. We provide opportunities for this, cover the cost associated, and compensate for the time spent.
CLASSROOMS
Our classrooms range in age from 2 to 5 years old. Each age group has a maximum number with no class having over 16 children.
Our goal is to have 2 teachers in every room. Dependent upon staffing, some classrooms may have only 1 teacher on certain days.
COMPENSATION
Teacher positions are part-time employee positions and are paid on an hourly basis. Pay is based on experience and time employed at CPA.
